It’s the time of the year to spread good cheer, spend time with family and friends, and create fond memories. The holidays are wonderful, but they can also be exhausting. Between the end of the year rush at work and school, all the extra holiday events and preparation can often leave us feeling overwhelmed and sluggish. In no small part, this can be due to our eating habits, which may fall to the wayside during this hectic time. Fast food on those especially busy weekdays, parties with calorie-filled drinks and an abundance of food, and a lack of exercise can cause us to forget our normal healthy habits. It may seem hard, but there are ways to maintain health during the holidays with a few easy tricks, and in doing so, stay energized for this demanding time so that we can enjoy it to the fullest and go into the New Year feeling refreshed and motivated.
