The many extra hours of daylight in the summer make it one of the best times of the year to get outside to exercise. Even if the blazing hot middle of the day heat is too intense, you can still enjoy getting outdoors in the early morning or late evening—making it difficult to find an excuse not to exercise! Further, with kids out of school, offices sometimes engaging in relaxed schedules, and “summer Fridays,” finding time to spend time together as a family is usually a little easier. With all that in mind, make sure the family time together really counts! So get off the couch and plan some outdoor activities instead.
